Standing in the grounds of the Magna Science Adventure Centre close to Sheffields Tinsley Viaduct, the impressive former water tower is ideally suited to the disciplines of industrial rope access.

30 metres high, the tower has a full-height protected access walk-way, enabling close supervision at all times. It incorporates a variety of purpose designed structures and confined spaces. You will benefit from invaluable height exposure on the main structure, a huge advantage when embarking on your first contract.

Indoor Facility
You can now enjoy the additional benefits of an indoor facility at MWT. Equipped for every module of the IRATA syllabus, this cavernous, ingeniously rigged industrial cooling tower and water tank offers a further dimension in challenging scenarios. The facility has been meticulously designed for close support and supervision of rope access manoeuvres.

The whole training site simulates a typical industrial environment and the spacious classroom is fully equipped with WiFi access.

Tea, coffee and microwaving facilities are available together with full welfare facilities. There are many cafes within a short distance.

There are many reasonably priced hotels and guest houses in the area.

Being situated next to the Magna Science Adventure Centre, the venue is close to Meadowhall shopping centre and easy to reach by the M1 motorway. There is parking at the facility.
